Responding to a
changing lab environment
EVOsoft for MODULAR ANALYTICS SWA
The innovative SUPER STAT mode perfectly responds
to today’s laboratory requirements, giving STAT samples
first priority over routine testing
STAT and routine testing for more than 150 assays consolidated on a single system:
MODULAR ANALYTICS SWA
Sophisticated sample management
without operator intervention
- all STAT samples introduced to MODULAR ANALYTICS SWA in a red rack and through the STAT port will get first
priority
- routine samples will be cleared from the transport and pipetting
lines into the re-run buffer to give way for the STAT sample –
but will automatically be re-entered into the workflow

Matching today’s requirements
for STAT testing
- time-to-STAT result (Clinical Chemistry and ISE) typically after 12 minutes (w/o rerun) or 16 minutes (with re-run)
LIS reporting “as-soon-as-cooked”
- STAT results in SUPER STAT mode are reported to the
Laboratory Information System (LIS) “as-soon-as-cooked” –
separately for ISE, Clinical Chemistry and Immunochemistry
modules
- re-run capabilities for routine samples are fully maintained
The outcome of a multi-centre evaluation indicates the
improvements with the new SUPER STAT mode without
major influence on the total run time needed to accomplish
the entire routine workload.
The results with the Super STAT mode have been demonstrated
to be 4-5 minutes earlier available compared to the present
standard STAT mode.
The total run time needed to process the entire routine workload
is almost independent from the selected STAT mode.

Faster and more flexible reporting to the LIS significantly
improves result availability to physicians
Results can now be reported by module
or module cluster
- ISE / Clinical Chemistry / Immunochemistry
- ISE + Clinical Chemistry / Immunochemistry
- ISE + Clinical Chemistry + Immunochemistry

Re-run and/or reflex testing for ISE / Clinical
Chemistry possible while Immunochemistry
assaying is still in progress
Typically Clinical Chemistry results are available faster as
those from immunoassay testing.
- the time difference can be used to process re-run or reflex
requests
- time-to-result availability is shortened
The revised Quality Control (QC) and
Calibration Concept speeds up daily start-up
procedures
The new “QC violation” function allows the test specific
definition of confidence intervals (1-2-3 SD)
- supports user defined control ranges
- automatically triggers calibration requests if QC values are
outside the user defined range

The new “Run Status” screen provides a comprehensive
overview of the last 500 QC results
- fast decision on QC repetitions and/or calibration needs
during the start-up period of the analyser
- the screen layout optically splits QC results between today
and yesterday and allows faster assessment of the QC results

The newly designed inventory screen provides at a glance
- all information per module is needed to replenish reagents,
QC material, calibrators, auxiliaries and consumables
- all information on the calibration and QC status of all
onboard chemistries

Integrated analytical modules for the Serum Work Area are
easily comprising 100 or more assays on a single platform – keeping the system in smooth operation requires the
presentation of relevant information at the right time and
advanced workflow concepts
Calibration and QC status
- sample tracking capabilities are extended to controls and
calibrator screen
- optimized QC/calibration print-outs
- reagent load/unload list now also covers expired reagents
Improved sample management
- different sample types are now possible for the E170 module
(serum/plasma, urine, others)
- the cup-on-non-standard-tube function enables use of multiple false bottom tubes
(e.g. RD Catalogue No. 0474 0955 001)
